HINESAD is commissioned to design a new African American Memorial and park in Fort Bend
County, Texas. At a recent press conference, the county unveiled the project which seeks to celebrate, memorialize, and pay reverence to the contributions of African American residents of the county. The design includes a significant monument, a Juneteenth Plaza, the formalization of historic cemetery grounds, connecting trails, a central water feature, and a memorial garden to the Convict Labor and Leasing Memorial.
